The Lord Leads and We Follow With His Purpose in Mind

We make our plans, but Jesus guides our footsteps. I, at one time, wanted to be a floral designer. That’s what I had in mind for my life, but Jesus had other plans for me.

I took care of my husband for about 4 years, who had Parkinson’s, and I dedicated myself to taking care of him on a daily basis. At that point, I knew what Jesus had in mind for me—to be there for Jim. It was very hard at times, but the outcome was meaningful.

He passed away on December 27, 2024. He was so content to be here at home. I was determined not to let him go into a nursing home. His last days were happy ones, being at home with all his familiar surroundings. We would watch his favorite shows every day, and most of all, we had each other. I’m so grateful to the Lord I could be there for him.

On his last day here on earth, he took his three last breaths, and when he did, I said three times, “I love you, Jim.” I do believe he heard me. Praise the Lord!!!

God has been truly good in so many ways. I can’t thank God enough for the years we had together—thirty-four, actually. An amazing thirty-four years.

Now God has moved on my behalf. I took a lady in who was homeless with stage four cancer and COPD. I am now her caregiver. She is stabilized now and seems to be very content to be here. More on that later.

Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to read my blog and see how God blesses us when we follow His plan.

In Christ’s Love,
Cinda

P.S. “No matter what we have to go through, God is always good.”
And God always softens the blow in this life to prepare us for the next one…

A Poem to Ponder On

God Softens the Blow

When we sometimes feel tossed to and fro…
God softens the blow.
When the winds seem treacherous,
Hang on a little longer, for God will bless us.

God did not promise us that we would not have trials to face…
But through each case,
God has a plan to fulfill in us for His Name’s sake,
No matter what it takes.

What trial may you be going through—
The one that keeps nagging at you?
Take heart, my friends,
Let’s prepare ourselves for the coming noontide end.

It ends in God’s peace for us…
All it takes is a little faith and trust.
Find yourself in Christ,
And hold on tight.

It is a fight to the end…
For this reason, God sent to us all, dear friends,
Jesus the Christ, so that we may know—
God is there for us to soften the blow.

Thank you so much for stopping by,
